I think it's awesome that you have a boyfriend who's actually willing to shop makeup on your behalf!
How do you like your Clinique? I tried using it, the tre-step-series for combination skin, but I had to stop almost immediately, it was brutal. Even the "dramatically different" moisturizer. :(
@Cas: So I made this whole list and then guess what happened when the stuff showed up? Major breakout :( Still trying to get my skin to calm down...
@Shamini: It has taken some "training" to get him to get the correct stuff. According to him, the Sales Assistants at the stores are so used to guys bringing shopping lists for their girlfriends that they are very nice to him when he's there.
I've been using Clinique for 3 months now. It works to a certain extent - much better than my previous skincare regimes. Was it too harsh for your skin? You could have been given the wrong range. I'm a type 2 but I find the Clarifying Lotion quite strong so I kind of skip it if I don't feel like it but still cleanse and moisturise. The Dramatically Different moisturizer has mineral oil in it. My skin is oily - so I only use it once a day (usually at night) or use half the amount and substitute the rest with Moisture Surge oil-free moisturizer during the day. When I run out of DDML lotion, I'm going to get the oil-free gel instead.
@Lilyng: Indeed :) The blue one. Been drooling at it for awhile.
I don't really know what was wrong with the Clinique, but it made my skin feel like sanding paper. I kid you not. I'm not acne prone, and I don't have very sensitive skin, but I had to stop using it. My skin is also quite oliy although combination, so I'm guessing you're right, that I might have had the wrong range. Bah. :(
I'm an expatriate in Norway. I love coffee, chocolate, cheesecake and ice-cream - all the evil diet-breakers. I enjoy quiet days filled with books and good music.
