Some photos

View from the terrace of a building ...

There's frost on the trees, barely any snow otherwise..

My prized view from my balcony - nothing special, but I like it anyway..

It's Been Awhile...

since I last blogged. I know, I'm getting lazy. Honestly, its a case of having too many things to do in too little time. Time has passed so fast. It's December 17th today... almost 9 months since I've been in Norway - and let's just say - Life is what happens when you're making plans.

I have had heaps of stuff going on at the same time...

1. Work is going great - I cannot complain. My boss is a gem, my colleagues are awesome and the job itself is very comfortable. Its just that I don't get paid vacation this year - hence I have to work over time to accumulate days off for my vacation in UK this Thursday.

2. Social life is exciting as ever - I've been hanging out with very interesting people from Senegal, Germany, Sweden, Chile, Britain, Norway, Belgium, and so on. The world is indeed a small place.

3. As mentioned, I'm going to UK this Thursday. Will be back on the 29th. I also got invited to a cool New Years' Eve party at a colleague's place. It's traditional Norwegian Christmas food on the menu. I'm pretty excited - just need to get something cool to wear and I'm all set ;)

4. I've been cooking so so much. I have started cooking authentic Indian cuisine lately - like Vadai, Mango Chutney, some Northern Indian dishes like Palak Paneer and Channa Masala. I recently got an Idli cooker as a gift from my former colleague's wife. Will try it soon. I made sago pudding yesterday afternoon...man it was awesome. Tasted just like I remembered it as a kid.

5. I have picked up a hobby. FINALLY :) I've been meaning to get a hobby for a long time. I first drooled at Lomo cameras for a full month then I realised that a digital SLR would make a lot more sense because in the long run I will be spending more on film processing and all that - so I got a Nikon D40...shown below ;)

I'm hoping to pick up a few tips today, tomorrow, and Wednesday ... then use it for all its worth in UK. I have decided to be 100% touristy and bought tickets for London Eye and Madame Tussauds. I might visit the Arsenal Emirates Stadium (probably get brainwashed by my sister to buy merchandise..for her ;) ) and I'm definitely meeting up with my old friend, Mpt.

Will write about my vacation when I'm back.

'till then, take care, have fun, Merry X-Mas, and a Happy New Year!
