So, What's Up?

It's still winter in Oslo now. These days there's barely any snow but the weather is really cold. My skin has given up on this weather - its so dry causing my allergy to kick in. Unfortunately, even half a bottle of moisturizer is not really helping.

Apart from that, everything is fine. I've already bought my flight ticket to Malaysia...will be there for Diwali this year (end of Oct till beginning of Nov). For those of you who miss me ;) -- you know what to do.

I've signed up for Salsa lessons - been to 3 sessions so far. It's awesome. Lots of fun. The only thing is that classes are conducted in Norsk, so I have to listen intently and try to pick up the words. The instructor did say that my footwork was good - just that my arm was a little stiff. Hehehe, feels strange to actually be dancing to be honest because I've never been the social butterfly. For some reason, lately, I seem to have this urge to try new things - it was not there when I was in Australia.

I'm still taking photographs. Plan to pick up a good book on photography this weekend.

I'll leave you with this beautiful sunset shot taken at Vigeland's Park last weekend:

Perfect Sunday

I woke up around 10 something, made thosai and chicken curry for breakfast (more like brunch). Ate a bit of it, took a shower, got dressed and went for a walk...

On my way back, I thought I'll get a pain au chocolat and a nice cafe latte just to treat myself for being a bit hardworking and taking the bus to St Hanshaugen to take some nice snowy winter photographs. (My friends in Oslo who are addicted to snow won't admit that these photos have enough snow - they always want more :) hehe)

The pictures are available here.

I'm..spinning around...

So there's this form of exercise at the gym (downstairs my office) that carries out spinning sessions - where you bike on a stationary bike for 45 minutes or so. I've been told that it's healthy but because it starts at 8am, I've been a bit reluctant to give up my comfortable blanket for some calorie burning sessions...

Fortunately, this morning I managed to wake up at 6.45 am and be at the gym at 7.50am. It was quite a good session of workout - if I may say so myself - since I'm so lazy and unfit most of the time.

Let's see if I can find the discipline and motivation to attend it every week ;)

Marzipan Madness

I have suddenly picked up a taste for marzipan...

Wikipedia claims, "Marzipan is a confection consisting primarily of sugar and ground almonds."

Yum, a little taste of heaven in each square...

Happy New Year

Yet another new year...and I shall grow older. Gosh, next thing I know, I'll be counting gray hair strands and ordering a walking stick...oh wait wait, one of my resolutions this year is to be more optimistic...so okay, I'm not growing older - just wiser ;)

So I had a blast in Reading, Exeter and London. Traveling and sightseeing with my sister and Mpt was so much fun....not to forget Shopping. OMG, things were so much cheaper than Oslo - if only I had more baggage allowance, I'd have picked up wayyy more things!

Thank you Mpt for the wonderful Christmas gift ;)

I intend to upload my photographs soon...

For the time being, I leave you a photograph that Bollywood fans will go gaga over ;)

Yes, I met him ;) Excuse my travel-weary look...I woke up at 4am that morning.
