I bought more office clothes today....really needed more - was running out of clothes to wear to work. Was quite glad I found what I was looking for...

It's nice to be in this situation to a certain extent - away from University, not having to worry about assignments. It is indeed a whole new world. But then again I still miss University. I still miss Australia, but I'm not bitter anymore. It's a different kind of feeling.

My elder sister has officially moved out after marriage. The house is indeed quiet without her...I think she is homesick because she calls often. I hope she finds her dream job...I think working will help her get adjusted to her new surroundings. I guess Asian culture is such - you have to move to your in-laws place most of the time once you are least for awhile.

Life goes on I guess - no matter how dissatisfied you are with some of the things in your life...

Vanishing Act

It's been about 12 days since I last posted anything on my blog. Please accept my apology for that...

In the mean time:

* I started my internship at the bank
* my sister got married
* I got interviewed via phone for a foreign company (the job is near Europe)
* I started dressing all formal for the internship
* went shopping to three malls but couldn't find ANYTHING nice (always happens when I have enough money to shop)

Life is boring...

Missing Brisbane...and other stories.

On the days when I am busy, I don't really feel it; on the days when I am not busy or just sitting around thinking about nothing in particular, I really do miss my life in Brisbane.

I miss taking pictures of the sky. These are the last few ones I took before leaving.

At 4.44pm -- 4 something in the evening used to be my favourite time of the day at Brisbane. Somehow, it kind of made me feel as if I survived the day - and all the tasks it entailed.

At 3.20 am -- It looks brighter because of the camera flash.

I like this one -- you can actually see the different shades of sunlight as it fades.

And I like this one too -- the colours are so nice, makes me hopeful for some reason.

And the colours here -- changing so smoothly.

The bubbly effect looks so nice

This is at 5.21pm -- It's the sun setting.

After a slightly dry Season 5, Smallville's new Season 6 episode was really good - the title is Hydro. It was so sad how Lana literally begged Clark to trust her with his secret and how Clark looked when he told Lana that he knew about the baby. Lana looks so sad and bitter this season...but it was quite obvious she would have taken Clark back if only he had told her his secret. Damn.

Smallville is getting more interesting. I guess I'll be looking forward to the newer episodes now.

I watched House too. I couldn't believe how he managed to get the guy at the rehab centre to give him Vicodine pills. He also apologized to Wilson...whoa, that really was House at his best.

Definitely going to continue being glued to House episodes as well ;)

I start an internship at the bank - most probably on 22nd January. I know, not my field - I was very upset recently, but maybe I need to get out of the house and do other things for awhile, gain some perspective? Who knows? :)

Calling a halt...

As of today, I am going to stop applying for jobs. I got interviewed at "the island" earlier this evening and my only reaction is - OH MY GOD. Seriously, the guy didn't even introduce himself, neither did he talk politely. He was so friggin' rude. I was this || close to telling him off, but I figured it'll make me just as bad as him. I'm better after all - at least I have good mannerisms...but seriously! I've been to tons of interviews - never been spoken to that way, ever. more job applications, sticking to the bank...I'm so tired of all this - I've sent about 100+ to 200 job applications since the beginning of last year. This is the most I can's not like I didn't's just either bad luck or some things are just not meant to be. We'll see what happens, definitely not the end of the world..yet.

Should you be jealous if someone has everything you wanted in life?

Yes, totally unfair!

Depends on what it is..

Nope! Definitely not. Be happy with what you have :)

disappointments. It's so disappointing how so many companies are not keen on hiring fresh graduates. I mean seriously - if no one hires fresh graduates, then how are they going to gain experience?

Odds and Ends

I know I haven't blogged much - that's because nothing much is up. I went to the tailor to get some stuff stitched for my sister's wedding..then I went around with my parents - accompanying them while they gave out wedding invitations...

It's not very eventful but it's nice to meet people whom you haven't seen in ages.

My job-searching has yielded zilch. It's really, really disappointing. To receive rejection letters is one issue, but to not receive anything at all is worse. Doesn't give you any closure....just a sense of major disappointment - like when you spill ink on your favourite pair of white pants....or something like that :|

Wide Awake...

I don't have insomnia. But, I have days when I can't sleep because I cannot stop thinking. Actually I was working on something and now I can't sleep. Argh, all focused and worked up now. It's 4.08am...I really should try to catch some sleep.

Note to self - don't work too late unless you really plan on pulling an all-nighter.
