Pictures of The Cabin

It was kind of cold around the cabins as it was on mountain-ish area. The wind made my lips numb :) We had a lot of fun though - took a hike up the hills and the view was just gorgeous. We also had this team building dinner activity where each group in a cabin cooked a particular dish based on a given recipe. That was a lot of fun. Who says engineers cannot cook? :)

I'm so glad its Friday tomorrow. Looking forward to a quiet week next week...lots of staying-at-home-and-attempting-to-be-productive :)

Have a good one guys!

Cabin Trip & London

Its Friday today :) My entire department at work are going to a cabin up in the woods, 3 hours away from Oslo and we'll be back Sunday afternoon or so.

I have also booked flight tickets to visit my sister in London during the last week of December. I'll be in Oslo for New Years' Eve though..plan to hang out with colleagues/friends :)

Have a great weekend ahead guys, and take care,
K.

I Found It!

So I was at Deli de Luca at Oslo. Found cream puffs - not as great as Beard Papa, but still very, very, tasty.

20 Days to 6 Months :)

Wow, I can't believe its almost 6 months since I packed my 3 boxes, 1 luggage, 1 hand luggage, and that killer-heavy backpack and moved to Norway all alone with just my signed job contract as travel companion.

So much has happened in 6 months. I have a 3 year visa to work in Norway. I have to say - I really like it here..it's so much fun. It's like having a whole new perspective to life. Suddenly everything looks so different - everything that was important to me is no longer important; everything I took for granted is now important. A total 180 degrees change in perspective, perception, and motivation.

I guess being in a new surrounding, really does change things. Suddenly I'm so into nature, cafes, traveling - not that I've traveled since I came here because it's too expensive - but I am considering it. Would be fun.

This morning I went to an asian grocer and got all the necessary ingredients to make mango chutney (my mother's recipe). About to start cooking now..

I had a mocha and a pain au chocolat for brunch. *Contented sigh*
